T. McGowan & Sons is an independent family company.

Founded by Terence McGowan in 1958,

the first office was opened at Dalbeth Cemetery.

The company has continued to grow over the years,

opening branches at St. Kentigerns Cemetery in the north of the city.

Then at Linn Cemetery in the south.

The most recent branch opened in March 2001

at Philipshill Cemetery, East Kilbride.

Terence's sons Jim and Michael run the company today,

and they have recently been joined by Michael's son Peter.
